KELSEY
Meet Kelsey – our friendly vet assistant and resident animal lover with a heart as big as her rescue menagerie! Kelsey is a freshman in the UNL/ISU veterinary program, following in the footsteps of her mom, who sparked her passion for animals when Kelsey was just a preschooler tagging along to work. From a young age, Kelsey knew she was destined for the vet world.
When she’s not busy learning how to heal furry friends, Kelsey spends time caring for her colorful crew of rescued animals. Her house includes Andy, the lovable Great Pyrenees; Winston, the cat with a personality as big as his whiskers; Vinnie, a three-legged, one-eared kitten (because why not make life interesting?); and a variety of sugar gliders and geckos. Kelsey loves them all – big or small, furry or scaly. She’s proof that if it has a heartbeat, she’s probably going to fall in love with it.
We’re lucky to have her on the team – she’s on her way to making the world a better place for animals, one rescue at a time!

COOP
Meet Coop, our office supervisor and head of the “Purrformance” department. With a
sharp eye for detail (especially when it comes to finding the coziest spot), Coop keeps
the team on track from his favorite window overlooking the parking lot where he can
watch our patients come and go. When he’s not ensuring everyone gets enough
cuddle time or offering a “helping paw” with paperwork, he’s solving treat puzzles and
helping his team members get their steps in by taking him on stroller rides around the
block. No one runs the show quite like Coop—he’s the true boss around here!
