TIMOTHY HOTALING, DVM
Dr. Tim Hotaling was born and raised in LaVista, NE. He joined our team with a strong educational background and a passion for veterinary medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2008 before completing his Master of Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in 2015. Dr. Hotaling then earned his DVM degree in 2017 through the UNL/ISU Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine. He has a special interest in exotic animal medicine. In addition to dogs and cats, he specializes in numerous small mammal species such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, mice/rats, hedgehogs, ferrets, as well as reptiles and amphibians. Dr. Hotaling is our go-to veterinarian for caring for these unique pets. He also has a strong interest in veterinary dentistry.
At home, Dr. Hotaling is happily married with a daughter and son. He also shares his life with Athena, whom he rescued as an injured kitten during his first few months at The Pet Clinic (we knew then he was one of us!). His family is rounded out by Penelope, a cheerful Pembroke Welsh Corgi. When not at The Pet Clinic, Dr. Hotaling enjoys spending time with his family, playing board games, building with Legos, reading, and earning his black belt in taekwondo. Dr. Hotaling’s gentle, soft-spoken personality is a gift to his team and his patients.
