MICHELLE HANNA, DVM
Dr. Hanna’s passion for animals began at an early age in a home filled with a variety of pets, including turtles, lizards, parrots, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and gerbils. At the age of five, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, and by 13, she was volunteering at local animal hospitals. She earned her degree from Iowa State University, where she was honored with the Gentle Doctor Award for the Class of 1993. Dr. Hanna became part of The Pet Clinic team in 1998, and in 2015, she and her husband, Mike, purchased the clinic.
Together they have three grown children: Adam and his wife Grace; Will, a veterinarian in Heaven; and Kelsey, who is currently a veterinary student in the UNL/ISU PPVM program. Their four-legged family members, all rescues, include dogs Yogi and Walter and cats Purell, Bug, Esme and Wink.
Dr. Hanna particularly enjoys tackling challenging internal medicine cases, continuing education, and animal behavior. Her professional affiliations include:
